Client Context
Halo Golf is a one-person startup offering golf clubs a competition product - members pay an annual fee for the chance to win a cash prize if they hit a hole in one during club competitions. Ethan Boylan, the founder, had the idea validated and clubs interested, but nothing to show them.
The Problem
Ethan had a product to sell but no way to sell it.
He needed to pitch golf clubs ahead of the new season, but without a site he couldn't clearly explain what Halo Golf was, how it worked, or collect signups. Every conversation required him to explain the concept from scratch - and even then, interested clubs had no way to sign up.
The window was tight. Golf season was approaching and clubs make these decisions in advance. Waiting meant missing a year.
Why Previous Solutions Weren't an Option
This was a first launch - there was no failed attempt to fix. Ethan knew he needed a site to get started but didn't have the technical skills or time to build it himself. The priority was speed: get something live that worked, not something perfect that took months.
Our Approach
Super lightweight. Only what's needed to prove this out.
No complex features, no over-engineering. The goal was: can Ethan send a link to a golf club and have them understand the product, see the rules, and pay - without Ethan being on a call?
We scoped it to launch in a week.
The Solution
A single website that does three things:
- Explains the product - what Halo Golf is, how it works, the rules
- Collects signups - a simple form for interested clubs
- Takes payment - Stripe integration for annual subscriptions
Signups and payments push to a Google Sheet so Ethan can manage everything without needing a backend or admin system.
That's it. Nothing more than what's needed to start selling.
The Results
- From idea to live product
- One week
- Club signups since launch
- 5
- Clubs understand product before calling
- 100%
- Ready for golf season
- On time
Ethan can now pitch by sending a link instead of explaining from scratch.
Proof
I had clubs interested but nothing to show them. One week later I had a site I could send to anyone, and signups started coming in.
